Nels Cline (lead guitarist for Wilco since A Ghost Is Born) rocking out on "Impossible Germany" at the Austin City Limits Festival in 2007. I love this solo. It goes from an Allman Brothers melodic smoothness to freak-out mode so quickly and effortlessly. Also amazing is how seamless the three guitars are (Jeff Tweedy and Pat Sansone are playing discrete guitar parts throughout this solo). This video was not shot by me, but Gwen and I were standing very close to this spot (the equivalent of second row standing). That was a sublime show. And! Wilco is playing at Verizon tomorrow night, and we shall be there.
